War leaves not only visible scars, but also a deep imprint on personal life. Intimacy, self-esteem, relationships - all of these can be affected by physical or psychological trauma.
On 10 February 2025, the first free counselling room for military personnel and veterans on restoring sexual life after injury will be opened in Kyiv.
Who is this project for?For military personnel and veterans (including ATO/JFO) who have difficulties in the intimate sphere due to combat injuries, the effects of PTSD, or events that have affected their relationships.
What issues can be discussed?- Loss or decrease in libido, erection and orgasm- Problems with intimacy after physical trauma- The impact of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) on sexual life- Conflicts in partnerships caused by war- Other issues affecting the intimate sphere
How to get help?- Register for a consultation using the link in the profile header. - Consultations are free of charge and are conducted anonymously and confidentially. - Reception format: offline (Kyiv, 43 Volodymyrska Street). - The maximum number of consultations is 3
The consultations are conducted by Professor Boris Vornik, a leading sexopathologist of Ukraine, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Sexology and Medical Psychology.
