Our fight against the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Ukraine
Since 2003, the Olena Pinchuk Foundation has been working tirelessly[1] to slow the spread of the AIDS epidemic in Ukraine and to help those affected by it. National information campaigns and large-scale charitable events have been organized to raise HIV/AIDS awareness, prevent new infections and bring in international expertise in HIV treatment.
The Olena Pinchuk Foundation has conducted more than 20 national awareness campaigns, including notable ones like « Who do you sleep with ? », « Chain » and « Save Love ». You can view all these campaigns here
In response to an invitation from the Olena Pinchuk Foundation, Sir Elton John performed his first concert in Ukraine on June 16, 2007. This free charity event, held on Maidan Nezalezhnosti (« Independence Square »), attracted 200,000 spectators.
In 2008, the Olena Pinchuk Foundation and the Elton John AIDS Foundation launched «Kids+», a five-year joint project that has provided support to 1,872 HIV-positive children since.
On September 12, 2008, at the initiative of the Olena Pinchuk Foundation, a charity concert «Life Must Go On! Queen + Paul Rodgers», gathered a record audience of 350,000 people. On stage, the international stars paid tribute to Freddie Mercury, who died of AIDS, and called for an end to the HIV outbreak.
On October 3, 2010, The Olena Pinchuk Foundation organized a charity auction in Kyiv in honor of the visit of the 42nd President of the United States, Bill Clinton, who came to Ukraine at the invitation of Olena and Victor Pinchuk. The auction raised a record-breaking amount for our country - three million dollars. All the collected funds were directed to the fight against AIDS in Ukraine.
On June 30, 2012, Ukraine’s most famous central square hosted a concert by legendary musicians Elton John and Queen with Adam Lambert. Arranged by the Olena Pinchuk Foundation and dedicated to the fight against AIDS, the concert gathered more than 250,000 people in the official EURO 2012 fan zone and surrounding streets. Furthermore, the event was watched by over 17 million Ukrainians during its 5-hour live broadcast on three national TV channels.
Since 2009, thanks to the support of the Olena Pinchuk Foundation, the “Mobile Clinics for HIV-Positive Children” project has been providing thousands of HIV-positive children in the most remote regions of Ukraine with regular access to qualified medical care.
In addition to these initiatives, the Olena Pinchuk Foundation supports medical institutions that care for HIV-positive patients and provides direct aid to people affected by the HIV/AIDS disease.

A certificate of HIV status, or an extract from a hospital or medical record that indicates the status (for those unable to visit an infectious disease specialist for a certificate);
An application for assistance.
If you are requesting on behalf of a hospital, please send an official letter of request signed by the Chief Physician to Olga Serdyuk, the Director of the Olena Pinchuk Foundation.
